Donald Trump on Thursday arrived in Washington, landing at
Andrews Air Force Base aboard an official government jet on the eve of
his swearing-in as the 45th president of the United States.
Trump and his wife Melania descended the plane’s stairway and set off in a motorcade for the US capital.
The president-elect, who takes the oath of office on Friday,
will place a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery before crossing the
Potomac to make remarks at the Lincoln Memorial, the epicenter of the
pre-inaugural festivities.
